It was from Whitefield that many of them obtained their grounding in the philosophy of Natural Rights, which is the very foundation of the assertions of individual rights found in our Declaration of Independence and in our Constitution. A real screwball preacher of a church in Florida has announced they plan the public burning of a Koran. No! No! No! That would just inflame some of the local people in Afghanistan who have been working with us and perhaps even increase the danger to our troops there. Don't forget that it was the Republican Congressmen going along with the Democrat Congressmen that helped create our financial mess. For that reason the voters must send Congress the strongest possible message that it is we, the individual citizen who is the boss.... not them. Are you unhappy with the way many things are going in the USA? If you are then let your elected representatives hear from you. Our nation is a "representative republic." In other words a nation where our legislators are supposed to represent your wishes, but, if you don't let them hear from you how are they supposed to know what things concern you? Generally liberals are more group oriented than are conservatives, and tend to be more activist in nature. That's why things in our country have been becoming more and more liberal in nature, even though conservatives outnumber the liberals. Remember, our nation only works as our founders designed it to work if the citizens participate in its operation.
