The Cap and Trade legislation is supposed to be about reducing damaging gas emissions, BUT, Cap and Trade would set emissions standards and allow operations above the standards by purchasing excess allowances from business operations with emissions below the standards. In other words it doesn't reduce damaging emissions at all. It establishes a legal way to continue to exceed environmental standards, AND by also establishing a trading exchange for carbon credits, which charge a fee for services, it will make the exchange owners (like Al Gore and other Democrat Party insiders) unimaginably rich. This IS NOT a measure to improve environmental quality, it is nothing but a sham, and a scam, and a plan to rip off the public.... nothing more.

In other words a nation where our legislators are supposed to represent your wishes, but, if you don't let them hear from you how are they supposed to know what things concern you? Generally liberals are more group oriented than are conservatives, and tend to be more activist in nature. That's why things in our country have been becoming more and more liberal in nature, even though conservatives outnumber the liberals. Remember, our nation only works as our founders designed it to work if the citizens participate in its operation.
