GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE AND OTHER THOUGHTS

 I am still having a hard time digesting the fact that Congress, even a very liberal progressive Congress, would pass any legislation that is so clearly unconstitutional.  If this legislation is allowed to stand then it can be used as a precedent to justify future laws requiring us to purchase specific items and products.  Let us hope that the US Supreme Court will declare it unconstitutional and unenforcable.

The passing of this legislation makes me wonder if there might be some way to bring up any Congressman who voted for it on charges of dereliction of duty for abandoning that portion of their oath of office that requires them to support and defend the Constitution.  That, after all, is exactly what they did.  Perhaps it is time to do some research on what is required to recall a Congressman from office, and to initiate such action when its requirements are determined.

Do you know anyone of high moral character and integrity who also has a true conservative political philosophy?  Have you urged them to run for Congress.  You should.  Part of our problems have arisen because we have not done that very thing in the past.  We must get conservatives of good character and integrity, who will not compromise their beliefs, back in control of government at all levels.  That includes replacing everyone currently in Congress and also everyone at the head of the RNC.  What?  Replace all our experienced people?  Yes, absolutely.  Just ask yourself this question. "could an all new Congress do any worse?"  Sadly, the answer to that question is unequivocally, "no."

There is one more thing that Conservatives must do.  They must urge all the TEA Party organizations and activists to NOT ally themselves with any poltical party, or candidate.  Their effectiveness has derived from their very independence and THAT places pressure on all political parties and candidates to listen to their concerns.  Allying themselves with any party or candidate will only dilute their independence and therefore their effectiveness.

Finally, Conservatives MUST quit saying that that a large part of our populace does not pay taxes.  That's true, BUT ONLY IN THE SENSE OF WHAT IS OWED TO THE IRS ON IRS FORM 1040-A.  It is decidedly NOT true when the effect of government deficit spending (inflation) is considered.  Inflation hits the lower income people harder that it does upper income people because the resultant increase in retail prices is a larger percentage of the disposable income of lower income brackets that it is for upper income brackets.  We must start convincing lower income people that government spending hits them hardest of all and that the only real way to help them is to curb out of control government spending.

Are you unhappy with the way many things are going in the USA?  If you are then let your elected representatives hear from you.  Our nation is a "representative republic."  In other words a nation where our legislators are supposed to represent your wishes, but, if you don't let them hear from you how are they supposed to know what things concern you?  Generally liberals are more group oriented than are conservatives, and tend to be more activist in nature. That's why things in our country have been becoming more and more liberal in nature, even though conservatives outnumber the liberals.  Remember, our nation only works as our founders designed it to work if the citizens participate in its operation.
