(As you read the following keep an image in your mind of the propaganda and actions of our current administration)
"Capitalism and communism stand at opposite poles. Their essential difference is this: The communist, seeing the rich man and his fine home, says: 'No man should have so much.' The capitalist, seeing the same thing, says: 'All men should have so much."
“That (separation of church and state) was never in the Constitution, however much the liberals laugh at me for saying it, they know good and well it was never in the Constitution! Such language only appeared in the constitution of the communist Soviet Union”
"Most people who read "The Communist Manifesto" probably have no idea that it was written by a couple of young men who had never worked a day in their lives, and who nevertheless spoke boldly in the name of "the workers" ~ Thomas Sowell
“Communism is like Prohibition, it's a good idea but it won't work” ~ Will Rogers
“Communism is the death of the soul. It is the organization of total conformity - in short, of tyranny - and it is committed to making tyranny universal.” ~ Adlai E. Stevenson
“Socialism is the same as Communism, only better English” ~ George Bernard Shaw
“Communism possesses a language which every people can understand - its elements are hunger, envy, and death” ~ Heinrich Heine
“Communism is the opiate of the intellectuals.... with no cure.... except as a guillotine might be called a cure for dandruff.” ~ Clare Boothe Luce
“Communism is not love. Communism is a hammer which we use to crush the enemy.” ~ Mao Tse-Tung
“Communism teaches and seeks two objectives: unrelenting class warfare and the complete eradication of private ownership” ~ Pope Pius XI
“All that Communism needs to make it successful is someone to feed and clothe it”
"By gnawing through a dike, even a rat may drown a nation." - Edmond Burke
"The free man will ask neither what his country can do for him nor what he can do for his country." Milton Friedman
The people must also be self-assertive. They must have the spirit of the old Revolutionary War flag: "Don't tread on me!" They must be vigilant against those, at home or abroad, in or out of government, who might wish to trample on their rights. They must be courageous and manly, with a sense of honor, so that in hard times they will stand up and fight, and not slink away slavishly so as to avoid trouble and danger. Thomas G. West and Douglas A. Jeffrey, The Rise & Decline of Constitutional Government in America The most important moral of all is that excellence is where you find it. I would extend this generalization to cover not just higher education but all education from vocational high school to graduate school. We must learn to honor excellence, indeed to demand it in every socially accepted human activity, however humble that activity, and to scorn shoddiness, however exalted the activity. An excellent plumber is infinitely more admirable than an incompetent philosopher. The society which scorns excellence in plumbing because plumbing is a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because philosophy is an exalted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy. Neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water. --- John William Gardner (1912 - ) Our Founding Fathers were greatly influenced by a rather lengthly treatise on the subject of freedom, The Spirit of Laws, by Charles Louis de Secondat, Baron de Montesquieu, published in 1748. Also note that the "Coffee Party" movement (sic) is NOT a spontaneous grass-roots movement but rather an organization set up by Liberal, Progressive, Democrat activists from the top down. The Tea Party movement is a true citizens movement. The Coffee Party is not. Most if not all of the Coffee Party organizers are, or have been, Democratic Party supporters, workers, and activists.
This is only the beginning when it comes to Liberal Progressive Obamabots responding to the successes of the Tea Party movement. We can expect to see more.... lots more.... and even attempts to subvert the Tea Party movement from the inside.

I BELIEVE IN BIG GOVERNMENT.....
Big enough, that is, to perform its proper function of : defending and protecting individual rights and the freedom to exercise those rights; for which it needs: a] the military , b] the police, c] the courts, in order to a) guard the shores; b) guard the streets, c) mediate / adjudicate disputes over rights, and little else, leaving all other functions to the people and their markets.
This is the concept of limited govt, and when government is thus limited to its proper function, advocates of the "liberal agenda" and all other forms of collectivism, can pursue their social goals through voluntary participation in the free market.... and leave those of us who do not wish to participate the hell alone.
That is the concept of laissez-faire and the meaning of freedom (from the legalized force of govt). This is the idea upon which the United States was founded and the ideal for which patriots of all kinds (races, gender, religious backgrounds, cultural origins, etc.) have worked, fought, bled and died to defend and protect (and many anonymous individuals working and fighting in ways we may never learn about). This is the legacy they fought for in the past two hundred plus years (at least) to leave intact for us and succeeding generations. Freedom was (and is) worth that much to them.
How shall we demonstrate the value to us of the freedom they left us? And how will we be remembered by succeeding generations, for the values we did, or did not, work and fight to preserve, expand and renew?
This should scare the hell out of you and get you involved like nothing else before. Some of your stimulus money has gone to the NY Council of the Arts and from there to the Brecht Foundation, a decidely Marxist organization. The Brecht Foundation then used some of that money to pay a man named Jed Brandt to speak to their group. Hear some of what Brandt said at the meeting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEEtScHIC1U
Defend education???? There was a widespread movement on March 4th whose supposed purpose was the defense of education. Oh really? Pay particular attention to the list of organizers and supporters at the end of the article, then ask yourself what their purpose was: http://solidarityanddefense.blogspot.com/2010/03/march-4-national-day-of-action-to.html
Seems like the Obama Administration doesn't agree with Lincoln.
Rather, they seem to have adopted the philosophy of:
OF THE GOVERNMENT
BY THE GOVERNMENT
FOR THE GOVERNMENT
RIGHT?
Are you unhappy with the way many things are going in the USA? If you are then let your elected representatives hear from you. Our nation is a "representative republic." In other words a nation where our legislators are supposed to represent your wishes, but, if you don't let them hear from you how are they supposed to know what things concern you? Generally liberals are more group oriented than are conservatives, and tend to be more activist in nature. That's why things in our country have been becoming more and more liberal in nature, even though conservatives outnumber the liberals. Remember, our nation only works as our founders designed it to work if the citizens participate in its operation.
