The Obama web site, change.gov, polled its visitors on what issues they thought were the most important for the Obama Administration to address. Of all the important issues and problems in the world the #1 response was "legalize marijuana." If that doesn't explain a lot about Obama's supporters nothing does. Marijuana defenders make false assumptions from the evidence. Note in paragraph two the statement that, "A much larger NTSB study published in 1988 found that those drivers using only cannabis accounted for 2.2% of fatal accidents. That report concluded, “THC plays a relatively minor role in fatal traffic accidents as compared with alcohol.” That study compared alcohol and marijuana usage in fatal accidents, BUT, since the number of drivers who had been using marijuana was so much smaller than those who had been using alcohol the percentage was also smaller. Actually, if the numbers are equalized, marijuana usage accounted for six times the percentage of fatal accidents as did alcohol usage. In other words a nation where our legislators are supposed to represent your wishes, but, if you don't let them hear from you how are they supposed to know what things concern you? That's why things in our country have been becoming more and more liberal in nature, even though conservatives outnumber the liberals. Remember, our nation only works as our founders designed it to work if the citizens participate in its operation.
