Ramos and Compean - reading and re-reading about this case I note that prosecutor Johnny Sutton repeatedly stated that Ramos and Compean "knew" that drug smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete Davila was unarmed and that Ramos and Compean therefore knew they were shooting at an unarmed man. Knew???? Oh, really?? The Border Patrol agents had never been really close to Davila. They had never caught him and patted him down. How in the hell could they possibly "know" he was unarmed. Something they did know was that Mexican Drug Cartel drug runners are almost always armed. Why all the effort by the prosecution to paint the agents as shooting at an unarmed person? From the very beginning the prosecution of Ramos and Compean has had "stink" written all over it.
